What a joke, this place isNov 13 2011Industrial Operations Engineering
What a joke, this place is. I heard about great teachers, well they have all quit because of the infighting at the school. The faculty at this school are weak at best, the campus staff are generally ignorant, or down right nasty and unwilling to do their job. The office of instruction spends more time attacking students than they do getting schedules out. No real science programs, English is a joke, liberal arts are dead or dying and the trade programs are pathetic as well. The place is on academic probation so it will probably be shut down within a year or two.

I was a transfer/non-traditional studentOct 29 2011History/Histories (art history/etc.)
I was a transfer/non-traditional student. Make sure to follow your next steps and don't wait until the last minute. Younger students, study before you take your ACT/SAT especially if you come from a Tucson area HS. You need to be prepared for the University. Do not be afraid to go to Pima or another Jr. College before coming to UA. This can better help you prepare for the University level of classes. If you do this make sure you use the AGEC. If you take other classes make sure they transfer. It is also much cheaper for you to explore different areas of study at the CC level than it is at the University level. If you come to UA as a Frosh. do not declare a major right off the bat. Give it a year, take your gen eds and figure out what you like. I changed my major 4 times when I first started school and it put me back a year.

It's easy to get in. If you are an average student, you should get in.

The students are fineJun 09 2011Engineering Department
The students are fine. They are like everyone else. The faculty and staff at the university are very unprofesional. Would not recommend to anyone an investigation needs to be done at that school.
